Biography:
James Martemucci has more than 27 years of experience in both civil and criminal litigation. His busy trial practice is varied, involving mostly complex cases. His civil practice has a significant focus on medical malpractice defense, and he also represents a variety of clients in personal injury and general civil litigation. He has successfully defended clients in multiple high profile criminal cases through trial. In addition, he has successfully handled a number of appeals. Jim also represents medical professionals and lawyers in contested licensing matters.

Recently, Jim was inducted as a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers. A Fellowship in the College is extended by invitation only and only after careful investigation, to those experienced trial lawyers who have mastered the art of trial advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality. Jim has been given a Martindale Hubbell pre-eminent rating of AV. He has also been named by Benchmark Litigation as a star litigator.

Jim’s civic contributions include his position as Chairman of the Town of Arundel Zoning Board of Appeals since 2004.
